Scribbling is not something a writer can do. Writing a book takes countless hours of research and writing. It cannot be done “carelessly or hurriedly,” as defined by the dictionary.
Drawing is not so definite. It can be a bit more hurried. I do quick sketches for my Facebook page when someone famous does something notable (often when they die), and that seems to work OK.
This gallery of illustrations and caricatures shows some of my efforts over the last few years. It is an excellent excuse to stop the writing to dash off a caricature of a famous person, i.e. Prince Philip, on his passing; because the art of creating something so visual is equally rewarding.
